Tomer Matityahu‘s creations are for us a moment, a feeling, a place frozen in time and reincarnated as a piece of jewelry. It does sound like a poem, we know, but you have to see them for yourselves – the shapes, colors and materials.
The handmade jewelry pieces, for women and men, feature different lines and styles, but his creative approach, seasoned with love for the process and results, is shown in each of the rings, bracelets, earrings or cufflinks.
Tomer grew up in a home where his father, a jewelry designer himself, had introduced him to this wonderful world of designs, materials and emotions, a world which has “urged me to touch and feel materials, to cut them and to assemble them” says Matityahu. For us, his designs show – other than creative mind and the love for what he does – the virtues of patience and curiosity. It requires curiosity to explore a material, a shape, a technique – understand its options and limits and patience to do that over and over again till that magical moments where it becomes a Creation (with a capital C).
These virtues can also be seen in Tomer’s line of wedding jewelry – wedding rings for men and women, and the brilliant Mr. & Mrs. bracelet.
