From the people who brought you skorts, jeggings (and Brangelina), here’s the snood, a cross between a scarf and a hood. It’s actually an accessory that’s making a comeback, being very popular in the 80′s. And even then it was sort of a comeback – the original historic snood was first noted in 725, according to the Oxford English Dictionary. Back then, it was a type of a net, used by women with long hair, and later on referred to few other headgears.

Back to today. Snoods make a great fashion statement, and a useful, budgeted one, having multiple uses. You can even skip the necklaces when wearing it. We especially love this light grey cable knit snood one from Miss Selfridges.
Men can enjoy this trend too, check Burberry’s check style snood.
